posers
Joshua Bell is one of the finest virtuoso violinists in the world.
He busked at the L'Enfant Plaza station/stop of Washington DC's Metro at 7.51am on Friday, 12 January 2007 for 43 minutes.
He performed six classical pieces while 1097 people passed by him. Hardly anybody noticed the music or that the violinist was Joshua Bell.
See - Washington Post of 8 April 2008
Now, if there had been a big sign to indicate that he was Joshua Bell, many would have stopped for the free concert.
This suggests that Washingtonians may actually be posers who don't recognise fine music if they heard it, unless it was pointed out to them who the musician was.

Back to work today. Ho hum. I still wish Keiser is here when I return home from work. She really made me look forward to going home at the end of a work day. Sigh.
