Big Bird is not a name!

Many many years late, but here goes.... what sort of a name is 'Big Bird'?

Couldn't Jim Henson have given him a proper name?

After all, even Oscar the Grouch is called Oscar, and not Stinky Grouch.

I reckon Big Bird should be renamed Stuart.
