Actually I did attend events at the Melbourne Comedy Festival one year with my friend Leah, and stand up acts in Brisbane and Seattle.

You should really try to make it to one, Fringe Festival are amazing, I have volunteer for the local one 3x and it really makes for one of the best experiences I've had.
